I want a multitrack recorder to demo songs without having to spend any money. two tracks would be suficient, though four (or 48!) would be better.
I have a P4 PC with shed loads of memory.
Any suggestions?
Thanx in advance

I use Audacity, it's free, and easy to use. Not trial type shareware. Do a google search to find it, or go here: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ :)

OK, I've downloaded audacity 123 but haven't had a chance to really play around with it yet. Looks good though. Thanx

I use Cool Edit Pro 2.0. It's not freeware, but it's very sweet!

its absolutely amazing! Thanks! Ive spent countless hours searching for half decent freeware recorders and none of them have come close to this! Ive started recording music and putting it on the net with it.
