How hard do you reccon it is to build an acoustic guitar from scratch exept for the fret board and the bridge??
Me and my father are both a bit experienced in woodwork its a sort of hobby of my dad's but friends think its impossible to get it to sound any good :( .They say its like asking a guy who knows how to weld to build a car from scratch
what you guys think?????

Ive built electric solid bodies, but alot goes into accoustic.
I would do some research on the types of woods used, and what you will need to do this.nothing is impossible if you have the right tools.

You can buy acoustic kits from places like Stewart McDonald (www.stewmac.com) - that might be a good way to try it and see how you like it without spending a lot of time and money up front.

The sites are really helpfull thanks to all :). Most of the tool shown here http://www.buildyourguitar.com/resources/agb/ i already have or know people who do so i dont think those will be a problem. The body construction looks more demanding than i thought though :( . I'll give it a go and see how it comes hope fully it will work out ok.
thanks again to all.
