Last weekend my band, The Roosters, played a gig sponsered by ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Towards Education). It was a middle-aged crowd, ranging from 25 to 55. Boy, bikers sure do like to party!
During the second set, the tops started to come off. These were married women, whose husbands were on hand, but there were at least 8 or 9 who were uninhibited about dancing topless in front of the band. One woman looked like she was about 50 (in the face, anyway). Anyway, this grandma whipped her halter off to reveal one of the finest sets of manufactured mam I'd ever seen.
Between the third and fourth set, the bikers had a tatoo contest. This was simply an excuse for people to get naked, as middle aged women, encouraged by their husbands, disrobed in an effort to win first prize.
We did two more sets, with the dance floor filled with partiers. The enthusiasm was contagious, as we played our best show since I joined the band.

Yea a few bikers sat a few rows up from me during the aussie floyd concert. At one point the wives were giving their husbands lap dances until the 6' tall usher that was build like a wall came to tell them to stop. Was interesting.

As a biker.....I resemble that remark......It's all I can do to keep my wife in her clothes when we go to rallys. (tho I don't mind at all......she has a marvelous set of ahhhhh eyes.......ya thats it ) and Cobra if you ever get a chance to play the Abate Summer Hummer in Neilsville, Wisconsin......well lets just say that we bikers like to get our party on!! The Freedom Rally in Algona, Iowa is also a Class A #1 Rager.
reference to another post:
hey Super.....wouldn't sweat it that much...likely as not nobody will bring it up. If they are like us, they will be more concerned with the boobs on the dance floor and were the next beer is to worry about the brand name on your headstock.

Hey Woodski,
I'd love to play a gig in Wisconsin. Are you an ABATE member? Do you have any contact info that could lead to a gig? When is the rally?
email me at bhumphrey@ami-crushers.com if you want to talk about hiring the roosters.
Thanks.

I have a tryout sunday for a band here Called 2nd Exit, if it goes well I will be hunting gigs there too. I will do some research up here for that. Do yall have a Website yet? I'll see if I can dredge up a contact # for Wisconsin ABATE. D

Hell, Derwoodski, maybe we should be warming up for you. I'll let you know if we're heading your way, or you can check out http:/www.theroostersband.com.
Martinsville is just south of Indy. We play mostly in Indiana. Have you heard of the Boogie, which used to be called the Bean Blossom Boogie? Its the largest Biker rally in the midwest, held in July. We'll be playing it.

No, I wasn't in the band when they wrote and recorded that stuff. I do play them, though. I'm lukewarm about those two songs, but the other guitar guy is working on a couple tunes that really sound good. I'm looking forward to when he's ready for us to learn them.
