A buddy of mine was vacuuming his studio the other day and knocked his early 60s strat off the stand and snapped the neck. He and I wanted to throw up and weep because he had used for years on the road and it was kept in almost perfect condition, now..anyone have any epoxy?

About 3 years ago I was at a gig playing my 71 LP. Picked it up and noticed it was really out of tune. When I slid my hand up the neck I found it had snapped off right at the nut. Took it to the best luthier in Dallas and he fixed it for $200. You can barely tell that anything was ever wrong with it (the action is just a hair different from what it was, but that's no big deal to get my baby back).

It can be fixed, obviously the resale value takes a hit.
Cracked the neck on my sg were the head and neck meet. Had it repaired and it has been fine. That was many years ago.

The headstock joint is a really weak spot on guitars with angled pegheads, it seems.

Well, that blows goats. I would cry for weeks.

I dont know about blowing goats, but as a serious fender man, I will wear a black arm banmd for a week.
