I got a friend who is going to give me his Fender Dg3. I haven't found anything on what it sounds like. How much is it worth and how good does it sound?

I strongly dislike Fender acoustics as a whole, I find them very thin and tinny sounding.

I've seen used DG3's for around $125-$150. Normally I agree with Modest Cargo , but I've heard several Fender acoustics that sound very nice. My F35 is a very good acoustic and always brings compliments from people that play it. Just be sure and get it set up well... and good strings are a big part of an acoustic's sound too.

If a person is going to 'give' you a guitar why question the value? It's FREEEEEE!!!!!!!

Makes for good kindling though if ya need to start a campfire  :D :D

I have a Fender Catalina and I couldn't be happier with it -- great tone, great durability and the action is just enough for solo work, and just enough for slide work.

Had to defend the Fender!

Wow, I didn't catch the "give" part. In that case, it's a pretty incredible guitar for the money! :D

Hehe, It sounds pretty good. I just wanted to know the value incase I wanted... to uh... pass it on through eBay. ;) Anyway, It has a solid tone and I love it, so I'm gonna keep this baby!

Its free, then take it! I'd take pretty much anything if it was free.

and how much is it?

lol

well for me, any guitar is a good guitar...unless someone gives me a bottle of snapple and tells me to play it. I would use it as a knockaround if I were you.......
