It's not my best, but I was playing around with some open strings and pulloffs and just had a mess on my hands. After listening to the original recording I decided to clean it up and add some stuff to make a complete song as an accompaniment for my daughter's gymnastic floor routine. She loves it and really wants me to play along as she does her routine created with the song in mind.
Anyway, it's called 'Guitar Ballet'..........second attempt..............

http://www.soundclick.com/bands/9/tshirtsnjeansmusic.htm

Oops, it's not acoustic. The original I did was acoustic and a lot rougher. This is 'meant' to be acoustic, but I did it with my LP. Same song though.......... :o

Oops, I don't even know how to upload songs to the internet. Ah shoot. Is there something you guys do, or some site you upload it to?

everyone please post more. Tshirtsandjeans. I LUVED that song. The LP made it sound even more better than an acoustic. It is really bassy. Try turning down the bass a lil.

Not a great recording (a little sloppy, sorry) but one of my favorite tunes.

Get an account at soundclick. You can do the freebie thing and upload songs, only you have to have a max of 10 megs per song, but in mp3 that's easy to keep. And it's a cool site too!

It's all in the translation. Recorded it on boss br532, uploaded to computer, opened it to cool edit pro, saved it in mp3, uploaded it to soundclick, and viola! The mp3 really changes the sound, can't help that.

But I really appreciate the comment! That just made my day, thanks.

Saweeeet!!!! Gives off a bit of Jimmy Page, I love it! What tuning did you use and what does 'bayu' mean? Very hypnotic?

Nice ambience, wow, very good indeed. Oh, and did I say I LOVE this? Ok, I'll stop gushing now. :o

I think the tuning is DGDGBE. I'll check that tomorrow and edit if that's wrong.

Jimmy Page??? High praise indeed. He and Michael Hedges are my biggest acoustic influences. Thanks.

Bayu? Well, I hate being literal in my song names. I wrote this about 15 years ago sitting beside a bayou in Louisiana. Beautiful day, lazy water, a few ducks, a glass of fine red wine, my Martin HD-28, and a beautiful lady by my side. Not a bad day at all.

Geez guys. I'm gonna string these all together and have the perfect chill CD.

Guitarahaholic, very nice. Mesmerizing might be the word. And very well played!

t_shirt, I don't know what your daughter looks like, but there definitely is a little gymnast dancing around in my head now. Man, she's really good! :D This is probably might fav of what I've heard from you so far, and that's saying a lot. I'm trying to figure out what the heck you're doing exactly. Whatever it is it's dangfire fast. Beautiful!

Eclectifish...Again, incredible. Tell us what the tuning is for sure. And yes, very Jimmy Page.

With something from Giuliani stolen at the beginning and something at the end that if anyone recognizes they should fill me in :D

It's easy stuff, but I like it.

guitargretta, ur classical piece sounded great. I saw that u said ur tak is buzzing, that sucks. My washburn's been buzzing. I took it in for repairs, now they might have to replace the bridge, and reset up the whole damn thing. Its gonna cost a lot. But i have service contract. So basically, its free! I hope it fixes my buzzing problem. Plus, my guitar dried out partly, so when i get it back, i need to put in a humidifier to get it to go back to normal. The top has marks from the dryness. I sure hope they go away.

That was very nice. The texturing at the beginning is wonderful. I'd like to hear the lead line come out a little more in the mix, but then the backing parts are so cool I almost don't care.

I just plug my acoustic into my sound card. I have an acoustic electric, so basically, i just take the 1/4 inch cabel and i plug it into a 1/4 to a 1/8 inch mono in line adapter. Then i plug that into the mic slot on my sound card. Then i use cakewalk to mix and record. What did u buy?

I just tried out my new mic. It's a Shure KSM27. I'm real happy with it. Anyway, here's the clip. The song is Talkin' Candy Bar Blues (http://www.alvarious.com/audio/candy.mp3) , a folk tune by Peter Yarrow of Peter Paul and Mary. Sorry I forgot some of the words, but hey, what can I say? I have a good excuse. I'm not a singer. :)

Age isn't a reason to not know about a musician. All those classic rockers were before my time, but i still know of them. Peter Paul and Mary, fun fun. I love playing hte john denver version of leavin on a jet plane. I remember workin a whole day on the fingerpicking when i was just starting to learn to fingerpick. I"m such a blues fan. Eventually, i'll put together a recording of "Deep River Blues" by doc watson. Wish me luck, hard as hell.
