When I break out my acoustic EVERYTHING is my favorite to play on it!

I enjoy hearing a hard elecrified piece turned tame by the sounds of wood and steel while my fingers twinkle the strings.

"Chicken crisp bacon cheddar ranch" is my absolute favorite to HATE song that JUST WON'T LEAVE MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hootie and Hooters swingin' milk buckets just wreakes of porno on 30 second segments!!

Wow, Bad Moon Rising has an accoustic part in it? Ooh, let me at it! I LOVE Creedence Clearwater Revival!

Oh and by the way, currently, my favorite accoustic song to play is "Yer So Bad" by Tom Petty (and the Heartbreakers? I'm not sure, it's hard to tell sometimes).

Oh boy! I wish I knew a bunch of songs fully. My favourite to play right now is the solo acoustic version of Three Of A Perfect Pair by King Crimson. I'm still learning it, and it's very difficult for me, but one day it'll be the one I'll want to play the most!

I'm currently in an acoustic group for my camp. We're doing "New Slang" by The Shins, "Creep" by Stone Temple Pilots, and "Black Star" by Radiohead. The cellist plays the bass part on "Creep," and it's really haunting and beautiful.

The trick is to use brush sticks so that the drums don't overpower the guitars.

I love taking rock and making it acoustic...

Everlong - Foo Fighters
My Hero - Foo Fighters
Learn To Fly - Foo Fighters
Best of You - Foo Fighters
This is a Call - Foo FIghters
Times Like These - Foo Fighters
Baby Hold On To Me - Eddie Money
Tiny Dancer - Elton John
Never Talking to You Again - Husker Du
Carry On My Wayward Son - Kansas
Anything by comedian Stephen Lynch

There's just so many when you throw in the Nirvana, STP, Pearl Jam, 311, Beck, Beatles, etc, that this list is almost endless. I always believed you can make electric songs sound cool on acoustic, but not the other way around.

Older Chests - Damien Rice
Delicate - "
The Professor/La Fille Danse - "
3x5 - John Mayer
Love Soon - "
Wheel - "
St Patrick's Day - "
She Runs Away - Duncan Sheik

Pretty much and Jack Johnson and Jars of Clay, some Floyd, Melloncamp, Steeler's Wheel...even some Green Day songs sound killer with a single acoustic.

Got a new favorite. Dead Flowers by the Stones.

One of my favorite acoustic progressions is something our church Worship leader came up with (I think). It's part of a song, but real neat:

e -----------------------------
B -----------------------------
G -13----11---9----8---6/9-----
D -M-----M----M----M---7/9-----
A -11----9----7----7-----------
E -----------------------------
D DU D DU D DU DU D

Play that twice through. First time, use the 6 and 7 frets on the last chord, and second time use the 9 and 9. I think both are formations of the A chord.

Basically, make the first formation, then on the upstroke you slide your fingers down two frets.

M is for mute the string. I find it easiest to use my index finger to play on the G, then just press it on the D to mute.

http://www.jzie.com/YouAlone.mp3 - Click to hear what it sounds like. I play it three times, then go to C#m (kinda), B, then E.
