Lets share some bass riffs.
Heres part of one song.
-----------------0---0----------------------------------------------
--------0--02--2------2---20--0------------------------------------
----2--2------------------------2---2-------------------------------
3--3----------------------------------3-----------------------------
Heres another common riff.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------2--5--2-------------------2--5--2---------------------------
-----2--5------------5--2------2--5------------5--2---------------------
-3--------------------------3-------------------------3-----------------
edit- When going from b to d(2 to 5 on the a string) I like to do a little hammer-on thing, and e to g(2 to 5 on the d string) I like to do the same thing, just play the b/e then really quick throw down the d/g.
Anyone else got anything cool?

7----7---------7----7------------7------7---9-------9--
--------------------------------5--5-------7--7---------
---------------------------------------------------------
---9---10-9-7-----9---12-10-9------7-7---------9-------

--------------------------------5--5-------7--7---3-2-0-

Thanks t-bird, are those two A supposed to played simultaneously How about the two Bs that look like they are on top of one another. I havent gotten to play with it yet, because its time for family dinner, but thanks for posting something, I thought this thread would just die.

Its one line, u play one after the other. Im crap at writing tab so i didn't know how to get the timing correct. Those B's aren't supposed to be on top of each other, you have to play it quite quickly. Oooops i forgot to say that it is in 3/4 time. Damnit i should have said :o

It was just a cut and paste job so it's a little sloppy lookin. You can figure out which parts to use your right hand for and which to use your left for.

I'm a guitarist really but this is an excellent bass riff that i love playing on a guitar:
G|-------------------------------------------------------
D|-------------------------------------------------0-----
A|--3------3-----------5-6---7-----7------3------------
E|5---5-5----5-7-5-7------0---0-0---0-1---1-3---3---
'Time Is Running Out' by Muse, played through very heavy fuzz. With Bellamy fronting and being so hideously talented Chris doesn't get as much attention as he deserves, its unfair since nearly every muse song (in more recent times at least) is held together by a monster bass riff, and they're the bits you actually remember.
(PS: first time i tabed anything, ever. :D )
