well recently I won a brand new martin DX-1 which sounded amazinf while playing it upside down (because im lefty and its a right guitar) and I went to get the nut flipped and they told me the bridge would not work because of the inotation, now I dont know what to do should I sell it or would there be another way to get a refund from martin? any help would be appreciated :o

Nope, Just wrap it well and Mail it to me!!!!!!!
Sadly the fact is that the intonation will be shot if you just sling it upside down.
BUT
a decent luthire will be able to switch the nut & bridge for you. Don't know how much that'll cost, but it'd be worth asking.
The other option is to sell it and buy a guitar that you CAN play!!
or loads of beer!!!!!!!!

Cool. That looks like a really nice guitar. How did you win it?
Anyway, I say sell it and then use the money to buy one that you can play. If you get something that's about the same price, it was still pretty much free.

i agree completely. Why ruin the guitar by flipping it. Its one thing to do it on an electric, but on a martin acoustic. I'd say sell it, top price. Like, sell it to a store, or on ebay. But make sure u get top dollar for it. Then get another guitar for urself. Taylors are nice :-)

Please read the description on www.saddleboy.com, which also includes Guitar magazine review.
The conversion is completely reversible and does not "ruin the guitar".

thanks Im definitely leaning towards selling it because I dont want a store around me to do it (dont trust them) and I'm to inexperienced with acoustic work and if you muustt know I ate 39 hot dogs in 25 minutes :hmmm:

Sell it and get a new one that you can play and don't leave out the beer. The alternative, send it to me.

Martin's are valuable guitars. You should be able to sell it as it's new, and buy the lefty version you want. Don't mess with it.
