I always wondered what the fretless simulators sounded like. Pretty cool. It may be my speakers, but I thought it sounded a little muffled.

Yeah, everything loses something when converting from wma to mp3 to the internet then they process it and present the music to the public. Then your computer has to process it to get it through the speakers or headphone (which is what I prefer for more true to original sound), and THEN the acoustics in the listener's home, office, surroundings, etc.
Just look at what happens to video from the time it's taken to uploaded to converting into whatever the video terminology is etc until we see a fuzzy picture just making out what the outlines of the topic at hand.

not bad. makes me want a fretless bass just to play with. "in strew mentallity" is cool too

I used a standard bass (fretted) for the 'fretless' sound, my br532 boss has an onboard effects processor and the fretless (or loose bass) sound was one programmed in.
