It's a Fender Gemini III. I paid $200 for it, and was wondering if it was worth it. Also, There are two songs that I've been trying to play recently, Crazy Train(the intro) and Stairway to Heaven(the intro) but I'm new, so if anyone can give me some tips, I have trouble letting the strings ring at the beginning of Stairway to Heaven while going hitting the fifth fret on the top 3 strings consecutively. It sounds weird from my explanation, but if anyone here has played that song, then maybe you'd understand and can help me.

Acoustics are a LOT less forgiving of sloppy playing than processed electrics.
Practice, practice, practice are the the three main bits of advice I'd give!!!
I personally learn l lot of licks & runs on the acoustic first, then when I pick up the strat I feel like Satriani as its SSSOOOOOO easy in comparison!!

er i dont know if i understood you question well but this is how i play it on my electric:
[code]
E-------5-7-----7-|-8-----8-2-----2-|-0---------0-----|-----------------|
B-----5-----5-----|---5-------3-----|---1---1-----1---|-0-1-1-----------|
G---5---------5---|-----5-------2---|-----2---------2-|-0-2-2-----------|
D-7-------6-------|-5-------4-------|-3---------------|-----------------|
A-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|-2-0-0---0--/8-7-|
E-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|-----------------|
Barre the last four notes on the fifth fret with you index and place your middle and ring finger on the 6th and 7th fret of the D string, play the first 4 notes then move your ring finger onto the 7th fret of the high E keeping the middle on the 6th and still barring at the 5th with you index and play the next sequence. thenplace your pinky on the 8th fret of the high E, play the next 4 notes. NOw you can either slide up and barre at the second fret or just use a D maj chord( it is easier for beginners), the rest is quite straight foward.

Nice! The accoustic guitar is a tricky little thing to learn if you don't have any previous experience playing guitar, and I agree with Martin. It's definitely a lot easier to make mistakes and twangies and buzzies 'n such...a very nice sounding instrument though, so keep at it!
I have played Stairway to Heaven, and it's not too easy to learn, but I have been doing it the wrong way. You're supposed to use barre chords, but that is pretty difficult, I know, so I'm just sticking with the non-barre way for now.
