My friend let me borrow a "mitchell" acoustic thats in new condition, im thinking about buying it from him. Problem is ive searched these boards and looked up on google and could not find one thing about mitchell guitars, its as if theres no such thing...its in new shape, i like it...he wants to sell me it for $100 with the hard case, is that a decent deal? I
m going to put Elixer nanoweb strings on it, and it has grover tuners on it so it must be a halfway decent name right? please let me know what you think, I just dont wanna buy a crappy guitar that looks nice now but will crap out on me, anyone know about mitchell acoustics? :confuse:

Just saw this title on a search.
I have a Mitchell MD 100 and I was looking to trade it in for something better at Guitar Center. I was just curious about how much I could get for it.
I think I payed over $200 for the thing about 10 years ago.
It's not easy to find much information on them on the internet, but I did see a guy selling the same model for like $70 on ebay, with no bids yet. That doesn't make me feel too good about the trade in value.
The thing has lasted me forever and I'd say it's a pretty good guitar. It's still in perfect shape. It's the only acoustic I've ever owned though, but it's pretty good. I've tried better in GC though, so I think I want something new.

Let me know if anyone has any information about this model. I'm going to take it in and see what they offer.
I found a used Takamine going for $359, that's listed as a $900 guitar in the musicians friend catalog. It sounded great, now I have to have it.
