Make sure that everything in your guitar is grounded and shielded properly.

Ive never had a problem with electrical noise or interference.Maybe looking into a noise gate would help. All CRT monitors give off a certain amount of radial noise, and having sub standard cables or internal guitar wiring or poor quality pups will pick up on this signal.
How are you recording, what gear are you using, and how close is your gear to the monitor?

hmm. okay, my AC wires do not have ground... i see that is a possible problem (and unsafe too?).

guitar is shielded like crazy. or does it really matter? coz the pickup "dots" and rails (which are magnets) are still exposed.

im a n00b computer recorder, actually havnt even recorded anything since the moment i turn on the guitar in front of the monitor, it buzzes. guitar's like, 2-3 feet away from the monitor. as soon as i figure out a way to remove the buzz, ill prolly shop for a mic and some other stuff :)

get a wireless mouse or a extension cable.

I have the same problem with all my guitars. For the tracks where I want it to sound right, I play in another room and have someone control the software. When I'm doing it alone, I start the track, then turn off the monitor.

Why do you need to be clicking while you play?

I have the same problem with both my kramer emg81 and active ibanez bass. The problem is distance. If I move 10 feet away from the pre-amp, then a crystal clear sound appears. Those darn electro magnetic fields...DAMN THEM! :D

maybe i should keep the buzz, and tell people its "intentional" since im really "creative."

lmao.

tried it again, this time with a humbucker (tone zone s) and doesnt buzz except when reaaaalllly close to the monitor. but with my single coil, it buzzes like crazy. too bad, i really like that stock single coil. btw, guitar is shielded
