I've got a Korean made Montaya acoustic guitar that I could hardly find any information about when I researched it on the internet, but from the meager information I did gather, I pretty sure it's from the 70s...anyway, it sounds really good to me with elixirs on it. I don't play it as much as I should, though...

Anybody have other suggestions for strings?

John Pearse strings are fantastic.

I've got an old Conn Acoustic from the late 60s. I'm not much of an acoustic player though, I don't practice much on it but it's got a nice big sound.

Let's see...
*Early 70s Gibson Mastertone RB250 5 string banjo...rode hard and put up wet...Schadow? pickup system that I don't really like
*Epiphone F style mandolin with DeArmond pickup
*Crafter Moonlight guitar....ac/el cutaway..beautiful guitar! sounds pretty good too
*Old yard-sale fiddle I had to rebuild and refinish...made it a five string and put a Fishman pickup in it
*No-name flamed maple violin bought on ebay...pretty instrument but don't like it as well yet as junk fiddle
*Had an NMI (Nashville musical Instruments) guitar that I picked up at a pawn shop for $42...gave it to my son when he started playing
*Strings..I don't know...usually whatever's cheap
*Amp..I have a little Fender Sidekick Switcher I play the fiddle and mandolin through

No amp...really nice small thin guitar - has a lot of treble to it, but sounds really good after the strings are "broken in." and even better plugged in...if that still qualifies as acoustic around here. Been meaning to get some pics of it soon.

Hi Perian!

Uh, yes I have a flute.....its rather an old one...a King Cleveland flute from the 1930s or summat, a bugger to play, but a nice change from twanging strings...

Um, please do not think "American Pie". :D ;). They are beautiful instruments that should not be abused...
