any of u use this?
i use it with n-track, and record it at real time while manually "playing" fruity loops. seems easier for me than programming a sequencer or that piano roll thing

Some of my non guitarist friends like to make beats with it. Techno and rap and stuff.
I "borrowed" it from the internet ;) but I haven't really used it yet.

i used FL 3.0 a few years ago to make rap/hip-hop beats and it was a cool program. the stock sounds are generally sub-par tho when it coems tot hat arena. however, i just picked up version 5.0 and use it to sequence all my drum patterns, which it works great for. it has plenty of features to tweak the sounds however youd like them, a good amount of plug in effects as well. id get some outside drum kit samples if thats what youre gonna use it for, but other than that you can program the drums to be as detailed as you want (if my drums were an actual human drummer the guy would not only have perfect timing, but would make neil peart seem like a novice, lol). i just got an interface and cubase LE so ill be able to import the drums from fruity loops onto that to record my guitar/vocal parts over...pretty excited

I have FL studio 4.1 Producers Edition...you can do just about anything with it if you know what your doing. If you were to just open it up and look at it you would just see the 4step sequencer and think "well this is just for repetitive beats" but once you record your samples and lay them out its a pretty powerful program. Nothing compared to Cubase but thats why FL cost $100 and Cubase costs $700 (if im wrong on the price forgive me...I ummm lets just say didnt pay for either one of the programs..hehe)

lol, too true. i believe the producer addition is a bit more, like $200-300 or so, but it has more options and features.

I just got Fruity Loops 5.0 Producer...I am totally lost with it. Bah. I also have Guitartracks Pro 3.0. So far I was able to copy one FL sample I made for it. However apparently I can't figure out how to make it loop. I am not big on loops, what I really want to do is use it for drums and some effects.

I use it because I don't have a real synth.
It's good for intros...or just strange sounds...least that's what I use it for.

I have it, only spent a little bit of time with it, not sure how to use it really. What does ctl+l do? I find it quite confusing. Is their an online tutorial?
