It needs to be a pre amp I think or have phantome power for the kinda mic's that need to be powered for recording acoustic instruments. It needs to have regular line in for my guitar amp to. It has to be made for interfacing with my PC. What should I be looking for?

Would this do?

I need a coupple of mic's for recording my acoustic stuff, they need to be reasonably cheap as I am on a budget. What can I use for drum tracks to?

not sure bout this or anything else in your post, but i'm pretty sure most people use a condenser mic for recording acoustics.

This site:

http://www.homerecordingconnection.com

has all kinds of tips, reviews, how to's, etc. There is a forum you can join that has some very knowledgable people.

I think what you're looking at will work fine but you may want to go with a mixer instead. The only problem you may have (and many don't) is a latency issue using USB. It has to do with bus speeds and sound card drivers (MME vs ASIO) and I can't explain it.

Check out the product review section. There are drum tracks reviews as well as recording software, effects stuff and reviews and links to free stuff, etc.
There are several articles on getting set up for home PC recording from the cheap to the full blown studio. It's a good one stop kind of site that will save you a lot of searching.
