Its seems like a decent all round interface 2 phantom powered XLR inputs and 2 jack line inputs. Its come with cubase LE for £112. Has anyone got or used one?

Yeah, I had one for a year. It is a great interface. Mine also came with Tascam's Giga studio Lite for making loops. Also has direct monitoring, ASIO drivers. If you buy it at Guitar Center you can use it for 30 days and if you don't like it take it back. Built with good quality parts.

What happened to it?

I upgraded to a Digitech VX 400 which is a interface plus a vocal processor. I had to sell the tascam to afford to buy it. But if you don't need the effects the tascam is good.

Cool, I think the tascam is what I need then.

i asked about this in my otyher thread (turn this box into a studio)...but i got my US-122 set up running into Cubase LE (which is what they are now supplying with it instead of Cubasis VST). it took me forever to figure out how to get my guitar to actually sound out on my computer but i finally did (the monitor button, lol), but NOW theres another problem. when i play my guitar, theres a delay from the time i actually strum to when the computer sounds it out. i read something about "clock" something or other (im kinda computer dumb so thats part of the problem). i havent read all of the "getting started" manual for this edition of cubase, so i might end up figuring it out, but if you know how i might be able to fix the delay without having to scour through documents (what ive been doing the past 4-6 hours), that would be MUCH appreciated. im pretty damn excited to get this program going. ive got frutiy loops to sequence all my drums and what not, but ive had to record the guitar on a digital 8-track, which just doesnt have the versatility of computer recording. anyways, any info would help, thanks a bundle!

The delay that you are getting is called latency. It is the time it takes for you guitar input signal to run through all of your computer's electronics, then out to the speakers. You will always get so latency because that is the nature of home computer audio. Howerver, you should be able to get it down to a managable level.
Make sure that you are using the ASIO drivers that came with the tascam. These are the fastest for Cubase.
After the drivers are installed reboot and go into Cubase with the tascam plugged in the USB port and configure the drivers. Most progarms have a place to adjust the latency. Depending on your computer's speed and memory you should be able to get this down to about 5 to 10 ms. The direct monitor bypasses the latency but you won't here the effects.
The latency should not show up when recording a track. I use direct monitor to listen as I record so I don't hear the latency. When you play the track back it should not be there. The snyc clock is for timming different audio sources together. LOL
PS, here is tascam's service site: http://www.tascam.com/ContactUs.html
The biggest problem with cubase is there lack of support but if you can figure it out it does a lot.
