Okay, I got my bass (Fender P.Bass) and I have my amp (Fender Rumble 25).
I've been playing Money day in day out, I'm getting sick of it, what else can I play?

OK...stupid question...what is a walkin bassist or walkin bass line?

Well about ninety percent of bass is easy, but if you want recognizable riffs that sound cool, I suggest listening to Rancid. Try Maxwell Murders, cool riffs with that, and once you improve, try to learn the bass solo.
Good luck.

Walking bassline, I think, is when a different note is played on every beat in a measure. It's pretty prominent in early jazz and swing music.

Discovered these on bass:
"Pocket Full of Shells" Rage Against the Machine. On the sixth string alternate between the open string and twelvth fret, occassionally a quick change from the 12th to the 11th fret and back to the 12th. No it's not tabbed perfect, it's just to give you the general idea.

And of course "Stairway to Heaven". Again it's not perfect, but it should give you the idea. Hold that last note on the fifth fret fifth string a little longer. To conclude the passage go back down and hit that bass G note followed by the A. The third to fifth fret of the sixth string.

What bugman said. Listen to SRVs pride and Joy. That's walkin. If you need to build up to speed just listen to slow blues and look for moving parts. They're pretty easy to figure out with some patience. And it's very helpful for building your foundation skills. Sustain and touch. You'll see that if you just pluck the notes and don't hold them the bottom falls out. The simplest walk is 1/4 notes. Here's an example of a simple walk in E. 1 3 5 6 = E G# B C# repeat. In a 12 bar blues your chord pattern is I IV V, in E that's E A B. So you just play the 1 3 5 6 in each chord.
I E G# B C#
IV A C# E F#
V B D# F# G#
That's very basic, but you'll get the idea. You'll hear guys walk from the I to the octave and back down and other notes as well but this will get you rolling.

Try some KoRn if you don't mind them, I think they're really fun to play :D
System of a Down is good too; I've been learning A.D.D. and Toxicity.
