My band was going to our first practice at our first gig and we were supposed to meet the organizer of the show there. when we got there (this place is about a 40 minute drive from where any of us live) my drummer realized he had forgotten ALL of his sticks so for the first hour of practice he used his hands on his drumset. His mom came later with some sticks and i swear i have never seen a boy so happy to get a pair of sticks. His hands had blisters on them.

should make a setup list next time with a place to check your equipment off before you leave. learned the hard way when i was a drummer and had no drum key on me or extra heads.

I go by a list now. One time I forgot a strap. One time it was a cord. 'Course one time I forgot my list, but I had everything else so it was cool.
gtrhcane gave me the idea.

We once had an audition, our drummer brought NOTHING, so we had to borrow a set, and use screwdrivers for sticks >.< needless to say we havent called him to play since

I remember way back in my road days one time we had a certain time for a sound check at a swanky place called The Riverside Inn ,in which the drummer was late, we went ahead and set up the drums, finally he came in drunk as a dog, might as well have NO drummer ! Needlesstosay he was not our drummer very much longer !

Hah!
We have a VERY well prepared drummer, with more pairs of sticks carried with her at once than a um.......drumstick maker!
