Help Recording?

Last Fri I got a strat (is uber happy right now) but I dunno which recording program to get *sniff* Could anyone suggest a recording program and the stuff I need to get it working? Like cables, ect? :confuse:

Crystal Audio is free, you need 1 mic to put in front of your amp, any mic will do, run it into your mic in on your sound card and record with Crystal.
