sup people, new to site. not to the internets......
just looking for new ideas for software for the computer. recording is the next step in the near future. please chime in on software that you know of/used that is good for recording. ill be searching the site for awhile to see whats going on. been playing for 15 yrs+ and have a varitable pleathora of equip and stuff but now its time to put it down on the computer. i have a laptop for work/personal purposes. feel free to ask ??'s b/c im sure i'll have some. looking forward to putting some riffs down. all help is much app.

Take a look at the computer subsection of the red light district. There's some really good discussion on various topics there.

And by the way, post your equipment (especially your software) on your profile, OK! I, for one, am starting to explore computer recording more and would love more info.

Hey logic, welcome.

Software eh? Hmmmm, Audacity( free), ACID - trial version, and then stuff like Pro Tools, Cake Walk, Sonar.... I don't really use software too much though.

Hang out, post your gear, etc. It's a nice place.

you can upload pics and things wen you get to a certain number of posts. 10 maybe?

anyway, welcome to the forums. hope you find it a useful resource and stick around. someone whose been playing for 15+ years sounds useful to have around :)

Some hardware and soundcards come with software packages included. I have an Alesis MultiMix USB mixer which came with Cubase LE. You might want to start looking at both the hardware and software to see what possibilities exist, before you spend a bunch of money on just software.
