pricewatch.com is a great place to find cheap computer stuff. Its just a listing of retailers but thats where I buy all of my stuff EXCEPT for memory. I only order memory from crucial.com ....I've used cheap ram in the past and you end up paying the price in the long run because poorly made ram really causes havoc on your system. But if you want to check out pricewatch.com you should be able to find a gb for under 100 bucks.

well, i found ram from Crucial on NewEgg that has my specs, but when i do a system search on Crucial, it doesnt list that ram as being compatible, it only lists the more expensive ones

well how come when i search at crucial, it gives me only three options and then at new egg, they have a Crucial Ram for 100 dollars cheaper, that seems to have the same specs? If i posted the link, would you be able to tell me if it would work with my computer?

Also, I haven't had any problems with it. My friend who knows all kinds of crazy computer stuff recommended it...he even bought it too. Let me know whatkind of laptop you have I'll see what he recommends

I have a Dell Inspiron 5150 and i was looking at this RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145068 rather than buying two 512s to replace the 2 256s that i have now, i was gonna get 1 1gb and go with 1.25 gb of RAM cuz I came across that item. But like i said, Crucials site only lists the MOST expensive ones, lol. That looks like it has the specs i need, but i dont wanna buy it and have it not work!
