I was wondering if anyone has had experience with this amp and can give me some feedback. There was an article on it in Guitar Player that got me excited, and after researching it it seems like it will suit me well, and not for too much cash :)

I own one. I have for about a year now. I'll go as far as to say there isn't a better value amp out there. There are other amps in the price range or cheaper, but they aren't made with that kind of quality. You'll often hear "boutique quality at a low price' in reviews and that is bang on.
The YVC50 is pretty unique sounding among the YVC amps too. They all sound great, it's just that the YVC has a different sound since it's uses EL34 tubes. It's closer to a Marshall in sound, but the clean channel almost sounds like a Vox.
One of the best things about the YVC amps is they are so damn quiet (as in no noise) for a tube amp. They developed some sort of low noise thing in them (I am no tech head), and I have never heard a tube amp that is so buzz free.
If there is anything specific you would like to know about the amp feel free to ask.

What is the distortion like on the amp? On a few reviews people said they didn't think the amp had enough distortion, do you notice this or maybe they just need new tubes or something?
THanks for the help.

to be blunt anyone who thinks this amp doesn't have enough gain must be insane. Especially if you choose to use the boost. This amp has Marshall type gain on it. It's a 50 watt amp with EL34 tubes which is a recipe for gain. The only people who might night think the amp has enough gain are people looking to play metal on it possibly. But playing my dual humbucker Dean through it produces enough gain even for that.
I THINK the issue might be that people just don't get the amp loud enough. This is an amp that is LOUD and it shines at those volumes. As I mentioned, I only really use this amp for gigging because it's built for cranking.
