Where can I find good comprehensive online chord charts for 6-string electric guitar? I'm a beginner, so I'm trying to teach myself. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

I haven't seen any "comprehensive" chord charts but try this:

Chord Finder (http://www.wholenote.com/basics/basics.asp)

Try this place www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/guitar. (http://www.looknohands.com/chordhouse/guitar.) Click on a letter, and pick a specific chord like c#m7 the chart will appear in the window. As you advance move to the advanced page, and enter the same information. What you will get is all the places on the neck where the notes that make up that chord are found. Then you can find your own postions and inversions. More chords than anyone could want.

A little tip though, don't get caught up learning open chords. Learn the notes on the lowest to strings(at least!) then learn the barre forms of all the different qualities of chord. If you think it is worth your time, go back and learn the open chords
