Stone,

I am having a terrible time with triplet pull-offs in lower frets on lower strings....particularly around 1,2,3,4 frets for strings Low E and A...when the total fret distance is 5!!!

For example...on Low E...starting with A note, pulling off to G...pulling off to F...

My hand cramps up...any advice to proper technique...whatever

Well... Relaxation is the obvious advice http://www.zentao.com/ubb/smile.gif

Seriously, you HAVE TO relax.... that is the key. It is very tough to relax and still try to play like a mother, but any undue tension in the hand will only slow you down and hold you back.

The other thing that I find is that when I am on the lower frets, I have to stretch between the index and middle finger and not with the pinky.

Other than that, you just have to work up to it. If you wanted to do the splits, how would you gain that kind of flexability? You'd have to stretch a little at a time until you reached your goal.
