Mr. Boston

If you can remember. For some of us it's tough. Anyway mine was with my first "grunge" band called Pixil. We played a YMCA rec center place. Played 4 songs, then we were forced to take a break so they could put some TLC on and dance. Then we came back on for a couple more. We closed with the band Tree's song "Spremicide" very nice. Good time.

Upstaged by TLC at the Y. That's a classic Mr. Boston :p My first public performance was on the drums at the American Legion with an old time country crooner. I was 9. I was terrible I'm sure but the crowd seemed to like it. I was hooked. My parents knew they had made a mistake letting me get up there. :_devil: Our first band gig was at a hog roast in the country. We knew about six songs. Green Grass and High Tides by The Outlaws, Free Bird, Hotel California, Ted Nugents Snakeskin Cowboys, Heard it in a Love Song by Marshall Tucker and Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh. Maybe a couple of others but I wouldn't bet on it. We stunk pretty much. :o But we were on top of the world. We learned to perform long before we really knew how to play. Two of us from that band lasted another nine years and went on to tour the country.

My first public performance was the Star Spangled Banner at a football game. It wasn't as good as Woodstock of course but I was pretty proud of myself. :D

my first gig was at a downtown communist nightclub one city over from me. it was pretty funny actually. the soundguys were way too mean, and didnt do thier jobs, the rythm guitarist used far too much distortion, and seemed to keep tunring up his volume in incrememnts in an attempt to be the center of attention :(. i was a bit skeptical at first because it was a hardcore show, and we were the only metal band there, but i guess the audience liked it because when i looked out over the audience while we were playing, they were doing all sorts of really wierd dances moves and i saw one guy get kicked in the face really hard by some dude spinning around really fast. played there again the week after! :D

My first gig was playing a parody of "Float on" and "American Idiot" with my old fraternity chapter. I was the only instrument, they all sang, and I froze up on float on. Audience of about 70 people.

Our bands goal is to play our lead guitarists July Fourthe party in his back yard. There will probably be about 40 or so people there, and all friends and family. Not sure if thats better or worse. I would prefer to play in front af a bunch of people I will never have to see again. So after 7/4/06 I will come back to this post and tell of my cherry pop.
