Can anyone think of a good way to jump from an Em scale G#? http://www.zentao.com/ubb/confused.gif

Alright this is going 2 sound complicated but it really isn't. It sounds like U R a guitar player?!? We ( guitar players) R the only people that say G#. So here U go...If U are in Em then your 2 (second) chord would naturally be F#dim. Put a 7th(E flat) on that F#dim. Play it. O.k. That chord sounds lonely by itself. Now keep that E flat and raise everything else by a half step. So now U should have G, B flat, D flat, & that E flat that U didn't change.Play it. Now that is the V7 to the new key, which in this case is A flat ( or G# if U want 2 call it that). That V7 now resolves directly to the I ( A flat) major or minor. Sounds good?!!!! i'm sorta a piano player. just started playing a synthesizer not too long ago. it seemed very natural to me from the start. at the end of my first day playing i felt like i could improvise better on the keyboard then on the guitar, which i've been playing for a year and a half. so i figure either a) i'm really good at keyboard b) i really suck at guitar or c) keyboard's easier than guitar.

no, not jumpin ship. just an on the side affair.
when i've been playing the keyboard i've been hooking it up through my guitar effects and amp. is that gonna hurt anything or is all that stuff interchangeable?
as long as i'm talking about effects, i've got a universal adaptar for my boss pedal, even though it says in the pedal's manual to only use a boss adapter (figure it's just a ploy to get people to buy there product). on the adapter there's a switch for either positive or negative polarity. which do i flip it to?

On those pedals... I would recommend that you stick with a Boss adapter. I used to work at a guitar shop where we were constantly having people bring those pedals in after having fried them by using the wrong adapter.
