Chords

I was just wondering since most of you have been playing guitar for ages,can you guys play every chord.And if you can were there any chords that you couldn't play to begin with but now can?Cause there are a few hard ones i can't play

I have not been playing for ages...but every chord I play I had trouble with in the beginning.

Anyway, I am just now tackling some new tricky chords...some funky 9 chord inversions...

I sort-of forgot what it was like to be frustrated initially learning the chords that I am now "comfortable" with.

I don't think that anybody can play every chord... 'cept maybe that Ted Greene guy. There are lots of chord changes that give me trouble... Maj7 to Maj6 is one of them.... my fingers trip every time http://www.zentao.com/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

I also can't get a "functional" stretch between my middle and ring fingers, so there are a lot of voicings that are impossible for me to play.

I totally know how u feel olly. I had MASS amounts of trouble with chords when i first started. What u gotta do, is repeat the chord over, and over, and over, and over, and over yadda yadda yadda. when u can move from one to chord to the other flawlessly ten times in a row, then move on to the next one! thats what i did and now, all i play are chords! (jazz band) I remember playing my ninth chord with all my fingers instead of using my third finger as a barre and having that pinky as a optional 13. when i first started barreing the third finger, it was pretty much hellish on me and it took alot of time. Now i cant do it the other way! once u start playing the new chord and getting your hands accustomed to playing it, its a breeze. I just got down play from a Maj7 to Maj6 flawlessy every time. Pretty tough but it happens alot in jazz; gotta be prepared.
