My first gig was back in november with my dad's heavy metal band.
First off, Heavy metal is deffinately not my style, I play alot of grunge,rock,punk,reggae,ska,blues,free jazz stuff(anyone else share this style? email me i'd like to know im not the only one) and he asked me if i'd fill in on rythem guitar, I thought about it for a bit, and decide why not, I asked him to give me a list of songs and stuff and when the gig was, found out I had a week and a half to learn the whole setlist.
So I learned most of the songs except for 2 of 'em, practiced them with the band a few times and then the gig came, Actually went pretty smoothly, for the songs I didn't know I just turned my guitar all the way down and faked it through them,
so thats it, the boring story of my first gig.
