pinky finger

when i'm playing the chromatic scale...how do i get my pinky finger to act right..i mean i can fly pretty fast on 1,2, and 3 fingers but when i get to my pinky...i screw up every time...it's like it doesn't want to move..can anyone help me with that and help me gain speed...i want to go really fast...but i've never taken lessons and don't know where to start...can anyone help me improve my pinky and speed

Start by going slow. You won't gain anything by trying to force the pinky to do more than it can. You have to build up to speed.

Play only as fast as you can use the pinky accurately. Then gradually speed up as you increase your pinky control.

Learn to relax. Speed is a by-product of relaxation and economy of movement.
