This is one i like to tell to everyone.
When i used to live in newcastle, my dad was in a band, and i remember going to a gig in felton. When we got there, it looked like a regular ********, but halfway through the gig, we were told that that particular club had a tradition... Every, and EVERY, mind you, band that played there had to be able to play maggie may, by rod stewart, and the resident idiot would come up on stage and sing it. If you didn't know how to play it, however, your van would be tipped over onto it's roof and you'd be unconcious before you knew it. Lucky we could play it, Eh?

I wonder why they chose such a lame song? When you consider all the great music the FACEs made before Rod Steward decided he would rather be a Barry Manilow clone, it doesn't make sense they would choose that song, unless of course it is a parody, kind of like dressing up and going to the Rocky Horror Picture show or something.

I'd love to know that ahead of time, and have some of my pals watching out for me and the van, holding some nice, solid, Louisville Sluggers. The sound of their cracking ribs, and skulls, would be music to my ears...
