We needed a place for all the sticky threads in Tools, so here it is!
This area is read-only, for now. We may open it to posting questions and addendums in the future. We're going to see how it goes first.
Threads that warrant keeping will be moved here by the Staff. If you feel one of the gear-related threads from our Tools of the Trade area is "sticky" material, feel free to contact the Staff and nominate the thread. Please include a link to the original thread.
These threads will be pruned down to only the pertinent questions and information.

There is some great info in these threads. It's great that we have members that take the time to share this stuff. If you have a question about any of the topics, post the question in either Tools Of The Trade or any other appropriate section. It might even be cool to PM the member that created the thread of the topic in question. The fact that they took the time to create the thread shows they are probably cool with discussing it some more.
By making this a 'read only' area we are not trying to squash dialogue. We are just trying to make it easy to read the pertinent info.
