BUT...it was a tip-of-the-tongue phenomena because I recognized the riff from hearing it in the past...but couldn't nail it...

I can't seem to get the lines to line up but if you cut and paste into notepad and use a fixed font it should look OK.

Two questions....

1) what effect is he using at the beginning of the MI2 song...any ideas? Delay? Echo?

2) what program did you use to put that tab together...is it easy to use?...as soon as I cut and pasted to Notepad....it was all dialed in....I am curious as to where I could get that...

Mr. Samson,

I would think Chorus-Reverb-Delay (Marc seems to be big on these effects). The early archives have acouple of lessons where he gets into effects and their settings.

I actually used notepad to do that tab. The only tab program I've ever messed with was TABledit32. It's OK.

Hey...I think you are correct on the effects...I have not tried it yet...but I am surre with those you can get close...not sure how much reverb I hear...but the others are a most definite...especially the Delay...

I am glad that he did the Zep lick...I do not even attempt to tab it in real time...I wait for the Archives...I am not sure how much longer I will be able to attend those shows live....you will have to take up the slack...

The 0 3s on the last line are probably supposed to be power chords. He just said G to A.
