If you can practice 2 hours a day thats great...I try to get a good hour of practicing in a day...usually I feel satisfied then. Sometimes I practice 15 minutes a day and others I sit there practicing for 6 hours (on and off of course). It all depends on my mood and schedule. 2 hours is definately good in my opinion if you have time.

As far as splitting them, I highly suggest splitting them somehow. I recommend getting a good break (5-10-15 minutes) somewhere to let your fingers and wrist rest. BE SURE to take a rest whenever you feel your wrist is getting tired or is in pain.

A couple times I would be practicing and I'll get a little cramp in my wrist. I decided to do "just a couple more minutes" (which would end up being an extra half hour to an hour). WOW did it hurt later on in the day. But if you want to break it up differently, such as an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening or whatever fits, I think thats good also. I'll often just pick up the guitar for several 10 minute intervals throughout the day...any practice is good practice

Anyway I am just rambling. All in all, 2 hours practice is good if you have the time to do so but try to get a short break somewhere in between there, especially if you feel pain.

My practice schedule changes with the seasons...stress levels...overall affect...

Being tired makes it VERY hard for me to have meaningful practice.

I like the 3 or 4 hour shots when I can...

More on the weekends...

when I was younger I practiced for as much as 8 hours per day sometimes more. then it fell off to a couple of cours per day. now maybe a total of 1 hour per day.

I don't think it's a matter of how much you practice but what you practice -- although there is no substitute for putting in your time. http://shredlikehell.com
