I have learned the notes and how to read them. Now I have started on the chords. I am taking 3 or 4 a week starting from the Major chords and then I will go to the minors and so on till I learn them well. Is this a good way to learn them. I am not playing anything, I just go from one chord to another. Is this a good way to learn or should I be doing something else. Thanks.

I think that is a good way to learn... but you also might want to pick up a couple of song books that hve some tunes that you like. That way you can also work on the chords in context.

It's better to know only a few chords and know how to use them than to know a billion chords but not know how to use them. Knowing a billion chords and knowing how to use them on the other hand....
