There's always our favourite fishscale vomit suppliers on ebay.......
Antonio Tsai (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Antoniotsais-Guitar-Mandolin-Arts)

I've used both of these guys and they are great.

Lowes and Home Depot.
-misc tools, bits, etc
Ebay
-do a search under luthier
-also search for clamps and router bits. Clamps and pattern bits can be had for a fraction of the cost you'd pay elsewhere.
Local woodworking shops
-if you have one in your area.
-specialty stains, dyes, veneer, lumber, etc.
Local saw mills.
-if you have any, I'm fortunate to live in the NC furniture belt, so I have access to many.
Auto part stores. Napa, Advance, Autozone.
-especially Napa. Lacquer, finesse it polish.
These arent luthier supply stores, but they're alot cheaper. Alot of the stuff you need other than guitar hardware can be found in your backyard. :)

Ok, not suppliers but this wee list is worth having alongside so you can refer to if as you order your wood.......
TOXIC WOODS:
Types of reactions:
1) Respiratory: E.g. asthma, rhinitis, mucosal inflamation
2) Skin and Eye: Contact dermatis (excema), conjunctivitis (itchy,
watery, red eye), pruritis (itch) and other rashes
Here's a partial list (somewhat selected for boat building pertinence) on various dusts that cause occupational lung diseases:
Wood Type of Reaction
Arbor vitae (thuja standishii) 1
Ayan (Distemonanthus benthamianus) 2
Blackwood, African (Dalbergia melanoxylon) 2
Boxwood, Knysna (Gonioma kamassi) 1,2
Cashew (anacardium occidentale) 2
Cedar, Western Red (Thuja plicata) 1,2
Cocobolo (Dalbegia retusa) 2
Cocus (Brya ebenus) 2
Dahoma (Piptadeniastrum africanum) 1
Ebony (Diospyros) 1,2
Greenheart (Ocotea rodiaei) 1,2
Guarea (Guarea thompsonii) 1
Ipe [Iapacho] (Tabebuia ipe) 1,2
Iroka (Chlorophora excelsa) 1,2
Katon (Sandoricum indicum) 1
Mahoghany, african (Khaya ivorensis) 1,2
Mahoghany, american (Swietenia macrophylla) 2
Makore (Tieghemella heckelii) 1,2
Mansonia (Mansonia altissima) 1,2
Obeche (Triplochiton scleroxylon) 1,2
Opepe (Nauclea trillesii) 1,2
Peroba rosa (Aspidosperma peroba) 1,2
Peroba, white (Paratecoma peroba) 1,2
Ramin (Gonystyus bancanus) 2
Rosewood, Brazilian (Dalbergia nigra) 2
Rosewood, East Indian (Dalbergia latifolia) 2
Satinwood, Ceylon (Chloroxylon swietenia) 2
Satinwood, West Indian (Fagara flava) 2
Sequoia Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) 1
Sneezewood (Ptaeroxylon obliquum) 1
Stavewood (Dysoxylum muelleri) 1
Sucupira (Bowdichia nitida) 2
Teak (Tectona grandis) 2
Wenge (Millettia laurentii) 1,2
I can vouch for the Iroko. I'm working with it at the minue and I have hay fever like symptoms. dry scratchy eyes and a dry cough
A guy on the guitar building course I'm on WAS working with Cocobolo. He took a really bad dermatitis reaction and had to give the body to someone else to continue. Now that it has two coats of lacquer he has it back....... There were a load of jokes about playing guitar wearing rubber gloves.......
this is a PARTIAL list, some people have problems with walnut too
Most guitars use at least SOME of the woods on this list. I've never had a problem with Mahogany, rosewood, cedar, or, to be honest any other wood I've worked with except this Iroko, and to be honest, I'm not ruling out hay fever (it being that time of year) and not a problem with the wood after all!!!!!!

har, har....
/\ That's the stuff on my skirting boards. Very nice stuff, if I remember, quite watery in consistency and doesn't gas you out...
I ordered some shimmery mahogany blanks from Craft supplies (http://www.craft-supplies.co.uk/) yesterday at 11am, and I got the parcel first thing this morning.
They don't faff about either. I ordered my stuff within five minutes.
They also sell some sexy neck lams and bodies for electric guitars too.
Phone up for the glossy catalogue: Luthier's stuff isn't shown on the website
All the tonewood is from sustainable forests, too, which is cool in my book. :)

For those of us in the UK I started wondering about reclaimed wood.
Now although these links aren't specifically about tonewood - if you go to this website (http://www.globaltrees.org/proj.asp?id=4) you can locate a local wood recycling / reclamation agent.
I'm actually going to pop down tomorrow lunchtime and see these guys (http://www.woodrecycling.org.uk/) who tell me they've got some mahogony planks going for about £1 a board foot (!!). These planks are about 40 years old, so, you know, should be seasoned fairly well.. I sense some potential lam neck stuff here. They apparently have loads of hardwood offcuts from joiners firms which they sell at anything from 50p to £2 depening largely on how difficult it is sand apparently.
Definately worth using that first link to find you local version of my second link I'd say...

Lol, don't get too excited - I'm thinking of leaving my wallet at work. primarily I want to see the quality of what they get in there and the range of woods they offer in full. I may be convinced to take photos, of course....
