I got home just before 10 last night, to find a message from my drummer informing me that he had booked us a gig at a bar in Scranton. They wanted us on at 11:30. The problem was, I live 100 miles from Scranton.

I did what any reasonable musician would do: I grabbed my gear, jumped in the car, and burned rubber all the way out to Scranton. We managed to get on stage just after midnight, and it turned out to be a pretty good show.

No, you can never go too far for the cause of rocking. People need to be rocked!

I used about 3 times as much gas going out as I did coming back. That should say something...

Wow! If you don't mind me asking, where on earth do you live that you would have to book gigs 120 miles away from where you live? Bird-In-Hand? :confuse:

The band is based out of Lake Ariel, PA, which is a short drive from Scranton, but I'm away at school. We wanted to keep the band going during the school year so I drive 90 miles to band practice every weekend.
