Well, I promised myself after completing a guitar in January that I wouldn't build another one for a while. Well, that was a complete lie. Anyway, heres the latest guitar in the DLR Guitars line. Its a copy of a Kramer Baretta. Its got the Eddie Van Halen strat striping (the black and white) to incorporate a couple different eras of EVH. So this will probably be the last one I build for a while now....like until August....
Amd mow for some pics

And the final product:
The fretboard is unfinished maple, and is already starting to get the well-played look.

Complete with a hand-made humbucker with white bobbins and black poles.

water-slide decals from a guy on Ebay. You print them, seal them with a clear coat so it doesn't run, apply to the headstock, and then lacquer on the whole she-bang.

I like it. Especially the white, angled bucker. It's a little different than most of the black and white striped EVH guitars you see.

HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA. I'd love to make one for you, but I'm the farthest thing from being rich enough to do it for free.

The pickup is a standard humbucker, but its mounted from the back, so that way it is very clean looking without the plastic ring that would be needed for a top-mount humbucker. This was an experimental design for this guitar.

I like the white pup too. As for the stripes, I wanted to pay tribue, not just copy him.
Thanks all for the kind words.

It plays like a dream, and sounds great too. I'll have a soundclip hopefully later tonight. A buddy of mine and I re-made the theme from a TV show, Double Dare. With a little luck you'll be able to hear this guitar on that track if it gets finalized tonight.
