I couldnt find my old guitar build thread to revive so I had to make another one. I hope thats ok. Last time we left off at the primer stage. After that we put some bondo where it was needed, sanded, primed some more and now we finished paint!

Up next is clear coat...here are pics of what we got now.

Not exactly a workshop is it? Pretty ghetto workplace but hey its working...its tough but it works.

I love it! bondo!!!! Sounds like you have an assistant schooled in the art of automotive body work.

Looks good Milkman. Your mojo is starting to enter the axe. It will be a force. :D

Lol ty I really appreciate it. My step-dad is an independent contractor and does painting, plastering and all that good stuff. He is doing most of the work but letting me do as much as I can without getting hurt (hes afraid of me breathing in the fumes from the gun). But he shows me a lot...its really cool.

The only thing is that the little room we made to keep dust from getting in and too much overspray from coming out wasn't big enough to easily make it even...which isnt as important for the paint since we can always sand and if needed spray another coat. But for the clear finish we are planning on making it bigger to make it easier on us to evenly spray the guitar from a safe distance.

Thanks again!

I cant wait till I put the new hardware (gold) on her. Im getting all my stuff from guitarfetish...I hope they have good stuff!

Looking good, the Guitarfetish stuff is fantastic even it were double the price. You have a lot of toilet roll, in your garage. lol

Looking forward to seeing it finished.
