hey guys (and gals)
I've been really wanting to get into guitar building for quite some time and have been doing a fair amount of research on the internet. but i was just wondering if any of you knew any good books about building guitars, either acoustic or electric. it would be nice if i could find one book that covered almost all of it, but i doubt id be so lucky, so any recommendations would be great
thanks in advance

/\ agreed.
For building the acoustic, this book is the foremost authority in classical and steel string building:
Guitarmaking: Tradition and technology (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0811806405/sr=8-1/qid=1150437524/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-3835530-0267114?%5Fencoding=UTF8)
The book covers all practicalities of build, whether you choose to use powertools or traditional hand tools. The information is extremely clear, and I am using it alongside other information on my build.
it also gives you the confidence to try out techniques you have never tried before. I am going to relish the experience of creating a saddle slot with a drill and a sharp chisel. :)

Yup, and apart from some of the guys in it looking as if they escaped from some dodgy 70 TV cop show, the pics are really good too.
Compulsory!!
