I bought a classical guitar not too long ago.It is a nice guitar with a great tone.
Obly thing is that is has no patterns or anything on it,not that im into being too flashy but it can be tricky when i occasioally play the wrong fret becuase of the lack of markings.

So whats the best way to make a mark.I wanna put some dots on the top so i can see where i am.Also i might put something on the fret board.

Then again would i be better putting nothing on it and just learning to get used to it.

Edge markers are the easiest.

get some of these (http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bindings,_trim/Trim:_Side_dots/Plastic_Side_Dot_Materials.html), drill shallow holes along the upper edge of the neck, CA glue them in (superglue) and sand smooth.

literally a 15 minute job.

dots or inlays between the frets are a much bigger job. you have to take the strings off and then individually sand between the frets to tidy up..... not an easy job. do my fret markers before putting the frets in cos then I can sand the whole fingerboard in one go.
