SOMETHING REALLY WEIRD JUST HAPPENED TO ME!

I was sitting here at the computer messing with the Desktop blues that Gavb posted... when out of the corner of my eye I see someone walk across the living room. I look over thinking maybe it's my mom or something... when I remember... MY MOM ISN'T HOME! So I sit here thinking to myself "What the hell..." When I heard the TV in my brother and sisters room turn on FULL BLAST. I went in there and there was NO ONE there!!!!

Ps...

Im home ALONE!

I know no one has been sleep walking because I havent slept in 4 days now. And it's not me.

Im really starting to get a little freaked out about our new home.

^^sweet, keep us up to date with your hauntings.

You know if you have digi camera you should go around your house at night with the lights of and take random pics in every room with the flash, take a few. Then check the pictures for any abnormalities on your PC, such as orbs and mist and stuff or evil rotting faces with pointy hungry teeth. That last one was a joke. :)

One of neighbors killed herself several years ago. I just saw this ambulance come and take her away. I did'nt know at the time that she died. A couple of weeks later, her teenage son, told me she committed suicide.

A couple of different families have since moved in an out. I've gotten to know the people who currenlty live there a little, but, I don't think I'll ever mention the lady who killed herself. They would probably get mad at me.

I was in that half awake-half asleep zone one morning when I saw a lady sitting at the foot of my bed. I woke up real fast and she was gone but I saw a blue orb zip down the hallway outside my door. I told my wife what happened and she asked what the woman looked like. I described the woman and my wife went pale and almost fainted. She said i described her mother perfectly right down to the blue housecoat. Her mom died 3 years before I met her and I'd never even seen a picture of her at that point. The really weird part is that her mother never set foot in the house we live in.

Ok....

I heard this story from a few friends who live in Orange County, Ca.

They say that this girl knocked on this old woman's door asking for help because she had been attacked. The woman who lived there, did not speak english, and was frightened by this girl who was bleeding massively. The old lady simply shut the door. The girl died on her lawn.

Several years later, an investor bought this old woman's house and the one next door. The houses sat on large lots so the investor/developer knocked down both houses and set out to build new luxury homes. The project has been under way for years and is not completed yet. Several workers have had fatal accidents while working there. Rumors have been circulating that the area is haunted. Now buyers, have gotten wind of these rumors, so the project, 90% completed, continues unfinished.

One of my friends drove me there for me to see. He swore up and down that he was not joking.

Misinterpretation sucks.

But about your ghosts.. If nto simply an embodiment of the mind's own dark figures, I still believe they exist somehow. Perhaps not real people so much as creations, though.

if you got a strangely good deal on it then it's probably haunted. i had a friend in Maryland wih a priest's soul in their attic, who ate bread and drank water, and 'walked' on the ceilingtop a lot and made my friend really religious.

it's funny how no one believes this **** but it happens everyday. ghosts exist, so does paranoia though and hallucinations. stay away from shrooms, bad trips will scare you for life.

i think ghosts screw with me too much. tired of it. i want them to go away and stop haunting me, but my fear sorta feeds their fun. btw my house is an old house, so it's expected. there are some scarier things in life i'm sure, ghosts just scare you and there's nothing you can do about it.

Nothing like ghost stories at 3AM, just before I'm about to go downstairs, by myself, in the dark...

hellzbellz
July 8th, 2006, 02:04 AM
Ok guys... I got some sleep and then did what I said I was going to. I started at about 1:45 and ended at 3:16... the sudden stop was for a good reason. Heres what happened.

I started out just walking around the house with all the lights and appliances off and with just a candle for light and a flashlight just incase that went out. The whole time I did this my candle flickered like crazy (with no ceiling fans of AC or anything at all on and no windows open), I also felt like someone was there. You know that feeling... you can't see someone but you KNOW theyre there.
So then I decided to sit down and ask some questions out loud. When I went to sit down the room suddenly got REALLY cold. So I put the candle on the coffee table and sat on the couch.
I asked "Is anyone here?" -- nothing
"Why are you here?" -- nothing
Then... I asked "Are you trapped here or are you here on your own will?" and as soon as I finished asking that question it sounded like someone ran across my attic. The series of bumps like running footsteps on an old wood floor. Everything went quiet for a minute... so I decided to ask another question.
"Can you give me a sign that you're here?", maybe half a minute later the candle suddenly blew out, and in the darkness I could make out a person standing over the other side of the coffee table.
Being scared ****less I quickly turned on the flashlight I had and aimed it where I saw the figuer and nothing was there.

So I got a new pair of underwear and went to my friends house where I stayed till just a few minutes ago. When I got back the candle was gone.

So I didn't mean to scare any of you who are staying home alone or are the only ones awak right now... but I felt this needed to be shared.

Sheesh... I think I need new underwear just from writing all this down. =(

yo, they had this really weird explanation and almost proven for ghosts and people who started talking dead language. It said that intelligence is somehow shared as radiations between people and could stay and somekind of ''lasting memory'' of them is still in the house or something. Same thing probably with grim riffer and his wife, probably like her wife's mother's memory radiations are sent to grim riffer. same thing with people who start talking dead languages.

It dosent explain the tv thing tough.

Its not on THIS site, but may help you be less freaked out.

Dude... wow. That's horrible and awesome at the same time. I've never actually seen a "ghost", but I've experienced and seen some other really freaky stuff like that, and I do believe there's a lot more going on than most people will ever realize.

At my house things will be moved when no one is home or everyone is asleep, and stuff will disappear and then suddenly show up months later. Here's an example:

My mom has this yougurt maker thing that has 8 cups with plastic lids for all of them. One day one of the lids flat-out disappeared. Not in the kitchen, dishwasher, anywhere. We figured maybe it got thrown away. She replaced it with an old baking soda can lid. Well, a few months later the missing lid turned up in the dishwasher - and the baking soda lid was gone. We also have a vase that moved to a different table.

Here's the fun part, my house was brand new when we moved in. The land it was built on is an abandoned pine tree farm. Weird, eh? Good luck with your ghost man, I'm curious how this is gonna turn out.

that is so cool the only thing close to that that I can remember is theres this old little cemetary its over grown and all and about 15-20 miles out in the middle of nowhere. The day before I went out there some of my friends went out there in the daytime and walked around the cemetary, their car had just been washed before they came out there and when they went to get back in the car there were hand prints all over te side of the car, weird thing was they were little kid handprints. Anyway about 3 days later I went out there with my cousin at like 11 at night when we pulled up there was this little white dog sitting at the gate just looking at us so we pulled up to see if it would run and it didn't it just sat there and looked at us so we turned around and were driving away and I looked back and that dog was gone I mean it wasnt anywhere. This place is at least 3 miles from the nearest house too. So naturally the next time I went back and took some girls I played the jeepers creepers song the whole time that was awsome

Ok, man, it tough to say this, but you'll probably end up dead after a few weeks in some strange accident at home. Don't worry, there's nothing you can do about it, it's just too late, so you might as well accept the fact that you won't survive till the end of summer. I suggest you send all of you're guitars to me, I'll find them a loving home. (Mine) It's been nice knowing you... Damn, it's just too sad.

Ask it if it needs help or something.

Once when I was home alone, I was sitting in the kitchen, and for about 15 minutes I heard things bumping around in the basement. I assumed it was just the house settling. Then I heard a very loud crash, like a stack of CD's falling over. I was about to call downstairs to ask my brother what he was doing, when I realized that I was the only one home.

I called the cops, and they searched the basement. Nothing turned up, and I never even found what fell over.

If so, I applaud you, sir. :) Even if only for your sheer determination. But, man, 7 HOURS?! I would last about 10 minutes before I got bored listening to silence.

Or did you just scroll through it looking for movements in the wavelength? That makes much more sense.

Hey, I got an idea. Do you have a mirror in the house? If so, set it up a little ways in front of your computer, and then point a webcam and a dim light at it. That way maybe you can get a glimpse of something in the mirror, since you said you saw something in the TV. Or even better, shine a really bright light directly at the mirror so it covers the whole thing. Then you would just have to look for a shadow in the circle of light. The file for the video would be absolutely massive if you recorded all night though.

Or leave out some cookies or something and see if they're all there in the morning. Even the dead will appreciate a good cookie. :lmao:

This is interesting. I thought this was the thread about that guy on Myspace giving you crap for your SG, but I was pleasantly wrong. :)

Oh no no no no, I don't even have the patience to be patient. I did look for movement in the wavelength.

As for the mirrior thing... I don't have webcam =(
If I did I'd be recording every night.

I love stuff like this. It's always great to hear this from people.

I've only had four truly odd things ever happen to me that I have witnessed, and my older cousin tells of a freaky event in her youth.

She used to babysit me and my other two cousins of the same age. Well, putting me and Zach into a rocking crib, she went to the kitchen to make coffee and when she came back, we were not only under blankets, with the pillows she thought were downstairs, but the cradle was rocking. So she gets freaked out and passes out or something.

In this same house, staying the night once, I had my acoustic with me. I was laying in bed and I had it in an open tuning (the one Page uses in rain song) in the next room. Ten seconds after I first close my eyes, I start to hear plucking on it. I figure one of my youngest cousins had somehow gotten past me and started playing the notes of that tuning. However, when I went in there to check, it was still in its case.

In the room I sit in now, my bedroom, the wall where my bed is used to be stark-white. One night, sitting here, the power flickered off, and then for no more than a tenth of a second back on. But in that tenth of a second, I saw a figure crouched in the fetal position in the corner of the room and heard a very loud cracking noise out of thin air.

I still don't know what made the sound. The power goes off right after the sound, and comes back on instantly, with no figure in the corner. But from this day on, every time the power goes out, all the doors in the house rattle at the same time just as if you were to quickly swing the front door open.

The last, and most likely scariest event, was in the bathroom of a hotel in St. Louis. I had just got out of the shower and I looked up at the mirror to see the bathroom door behind me wide open, and a dark figure standing there, illuminated by the morning light. I turn around and realize the door is closed, and the ceiling light is on. Instantly after that the mirror fogged up and it looked as if it had been repeatedly scratched with something.

All interesting to hear about, and I will be following this thread as it grows... Keep telling us what you experience, people!

Also, I'm a little more into this than it seems... On the 17th I plan to go into an alleged haunted house with some recording equipment, someone is supposed to have an infrared camera setup, and a couple of video lines.

^^ It would be quite a miracle if stopping suddenly made a guitar slide out the back of a van ;)

Exactly, he ignored my comment about things shifting forward when someone stops....on the other hand if the cousin was driving in reverse at a high rate of speed I guess it could happen.

I never saw that comment, and the van was going prett fast and when it stopped so suddenly it jerk foward then backwards. None of the stuff moved foward because he had table saw that was pressed up against the front seats that was blocking their path...

It's just me being unlucky about every single fing thing.

i love real ghost stories, but they realy freak me out, i have a VERY wild imagination and im realy jumpy , anyhow i had a few incidents of my own, ill list them from spooky to horrific:

1) i was enjoying a hot shower late at night when i suddenly felt cold, realy cold then the hair on by arms stood and i got goosebumps, then the shower curtain moved as if something bumped into it from inside the shower.

2) i was watching my tv before i went to bed, and i heard this "moan" and then i kept thinking did i imagine the voice or did i just hear it???.

3) i returned from a hiking trip with my friends, so i went to bed when i got home, then i woke up in the middle of the night and i felt heavy, and when i turned my face i saw a litttle girl standing in the corner of the room, she was soooo white and she had some sort of green veins on her face, she never looked at me, she kept looking at my closet, i couldnt move or anything and i was VERY sure it wasnt a dream(i actualy pinched myself), i started sweating but i was feeling cold, then i just closed my eyes , and slept till the morning.

p.s: no one has ever lived in my house no murders no suicides no nothing.

My cousins ex had sleep paralysis. Every night she would wake up and there would be a woman on the edge of her bed and she'd slowly creep up the bed and on top of her and would start taking her clothes off. She said she had light blue skin and her hair had moss tangled in it. When she told us the stories we'd get...um...excited.... then as it went on we'd be scared ****less!

sleep paralysis?, anyone care to elaborate?

and i wasnt paralised, i could move and look around but it was hard, as if i was pulled down or something.

Blake
July 15th, 2006, 09:03 AM
Your mind wakes up, but your body doesn't. You can move, but it's hard, like every part of your body weighs a ton. You can open your eyes and see what's around you, because your mind is awake. It's often occompanied by hallucinations.

Once when it happened to me, I read the time off my clock, and when it ended and I woke up fully the time was one minute past what I read.

Richie Sambora

Well, I was in my room playing my guitar just a while after posting on the "3 days - jamsession" thread. I went out to get a printed tab I had left on my computer desk when I noticed someone in dark clothes standing in the corner. I thought it was my mom at first so I asked "What are you doing up?" and when I did they darted towards the kitchen. I quickly realized it wasn't my mom so I ran after them. I couldn't find them at all.

I think it may have been a break-in but Im not totally sure. They were gone as soon as they turned that corner. I've checked all windows and doors and they are all locked. Im thinking break-in still, because... well... why would a ghost run from me?

A creepy stories my younger sister has experienced. I'm gonna keep it short:

About 10 years ago my sister and her friends were going to call up ghosts for fun with a Quija board, candles,... .
After being busy with it, my sister, so has she been told later, suddenly started laughin in a very evil, crazy kinda way and pointing with her finger at everyone...after that she fainted.
When she came by after a while she remembered nothin' about it...
She always in for a good laugh but when it comes to that story she still gets very serieus about it. Her friends never wanted to talk about it when I asked 'm somethin'.
I always like spooky stories but that one gives me the shivers everytime I think about it... :scared:

P.S.: Hellzbellz, have you audio-recorded recently?

Reading this reminds me of a blackadder sketch:

Baldrick: I couldn't sleep when I was little.

Edmund: You still are little, Baldrick.

Baldrick: Yeah, well, when I was even littler, see, we used to live in
this haunted hovel. Every night, my family were troubled by
a visitation from this disgusting ghoul. It was terrible.
First there was this unholy smell, then this tiny, clammy,
hairy creature would materialise in the bed between them.
Fortunately, I could never see it, myself.

Edmund: Yes... Tell me, Baldrick: when you left home, did this repulsive
entity mysteriously disappear?

Baldrick: That very day...

:D :D . I'm not saying you're making this up or anything by the way! I believe it. I sometimes get the feeling that i'm not alone in the house when i'm the only one in.

When my mum moved into her new house a couple of months ago, she would occasionally see a floating head, accompanied by the whole house going cold. She just asked it to leave and she never saw it again and the house stopped mesteriously going cold.

November 8th, 2006, 07:42 AM
OMG, the EXACT same thing happened to me a few weeks ago!!! My basement is where have my personal TV, guitars, amps, PC, and stuff like that. Well, I was on the main floor sleeping on the couch in the living room and all of a sudden I thought I saw a shadow or something creep across the room out of the corner of my eye. Then my TV in the basement came on full blast. I went down, tunred it off, and got the hell back upstairs, and went to sleep.

My grandmother, father and I have all had paranormal experiences like that on many occasions, so I definitely believe in ghosts. If there is one in my house, I'm not scared of it, although the TV thing did shake me up quite a bit. But hey, as long as It's not trying to hurt me or break my guitars, I don't mind a spirit or 2 in my home :D

Holy crap guys.... I had another thing happen. Here latley I've been up really late because I've been sleeping all day. Im sick with the flu and it's messed up my sleeping habbits.

I was watching TV when I saw the light to my kitchen turn on. I thought maybe it was someone up late with the munchies or something. I walked in there and it was sooooo cold. If it was any colder I could've prolly seen my breath. There was no one there so I turned to go back into the living room when I noticed a really big black fog looking thing moving across the top of the hall way walls. I just stood there motionless because I was so freaked out. It kinda hovered there for a second then it went into my brother and sister's room. I followed after it and there was nothing there. A few seconds later the house returned to a normal temp.

Here is one possible explanation: When you look into bright lights or go from a dark area to a well lit one, you often get a patch of dark form at the centre of your field of vision. This patch can often be seen to be 'moving'. As for the cold, well I don't know what the climate or weather conditions are like where you live, but it could have been a draught of cold air. Or it c could be that because you have the flu, you are experiencing the chills.

sudden coldness and the kind of a strange black fog are very very common ghost related things.the coldness is always related to ghosts, and the whole walking into your moms room to sit on the end of the bed-sounds very ghost/poltergeist traditional behavior.....assuming you believe in ghosts :)

Strat dug this up... as it seems it's been for a while.

Updates... hmmm. I haven't been home a whole lot for a while, so there's not much to experience. Lets see... Im not quite sure if this was anything but it freaked me out pretty bad. I was laying in bed in that sorta half awake half asleep state. I rolled over (with my eyes closed) facing the window and started to fall asleep. I started to feel this weird feeling. Like someone was there. I opened my eyes and out side my window was a face. Not really human looking. Kinda, blurry and blotchy. Hard to make out. It was there for lite two seconds then it just... poof.... disapeared. Maybe an animal but Idk.

Other than that it's all just kinda bumps and noises. Misplaced stuff when nobody else is home and...

OH!

Back when it was still cold out down here I was sitting at my computer desk looking out at the woods through the slidingglass door. I noticed this patch of fog that kept growing and shrinking like someone was there breathing. I got up to inspect it and it was gone. Freaky but possibley something natural.
