When I tried to play "The Jack" by AC/DC in lesson 4 music section, I found that there are some soft of "chunky" sounds between the notes; therefore I kinda hear 5 or 6 picking sounds even though there are only 4 notes....

I am still a biginner so I dont knoww if it's normal, can you tell me where does the extra sounds come from?

If you're talking about hearing those sounds in the recording of me playing it, then what you are hearing is most likely just the pick and finger noise that's on that recording. I happen to like the sounds of the pick scraping and the fingers rubbing on the strings... so I don't do anything to weed that stuff out of my playing or recordings.

If you're talking about hearing this when you play it.... thats another story.

Either way.... just concentrate on that shuffle rhythm (dun da dun dunnnn). Get that down so smooth that it makes you want to move your body.

thank you for your reply.
I like the picking and scraping sound as well, but I cant make the "chunky" scraping sound when I play it. How do you pick the string to make the sound(between 2 notes)?

I don't think you can do it "on purpose"... It just "happens".

When you talked about "Inverted power chord" in lesson 3, you meant play the power chrod using up stroke instead of down stroke, right?
