AANJ pocket & PU cavities

how many inches(or preferrably millimeters) is a standard AANJ pockets lenght, depth and width? I can't seem to find it anywhere! :confuse:


Same thing with PU cavities, I want 2 humbuckers with a "RG-ish" body but can't find width, depth and length. Also the pockets for tremolo and controlls is NOWHERE! Since I won't be using any templates I would like to know the dimension on YOUR guitars since I only got a single-coil fender like body to measure from :o

pickup cavities depend. if you're going to screw them directly into the wood, i.e. not suspended from a pickguard, then you have to base the routing depth on how close/far you want the poles from the strings.

for pickups mounted in a ring or pickguard, I think the depth is somewhere around 3/4"... with a little more taken out at the wings of the route for a humbucker.

I've did some research on that Jem7DBK AANJ-thingy and discovered that it's somekinda really good Steve Vai Ibanez Signature Model. But would I need a Ibanez neck for that or would it do with a fenderneck or whatever?
