Installing a truss rod

How do you put a truss rod in a neck? Me and my friend are building a guitar from complete scratch (we're not buying a pre built neck or anything we're building it ourselves) and we don't know how to install a truss rod. Any input is appreciated. thanks.

There's tons of info on projectguitar.com, I'll see if I can dig some up.

In the mean time StewMac has this little article about their 'hot rod' truss rod; I recommend using it, not from experience but because it uses a flat-bottomed route whereas traditional truss rods have a curve-bottom channel where the deepest part of the is somewhere in the middle and can be a pain to set up.

As you're making the neck yourself, have you thought about an aluminium one ? - no need for a truss rod.
