Thats the fingerboard glued up and shaped and rubbed down with steel wool. The fret markers are in pearwood they are easily seen by the player but all but invisible from 5 feet away.

Normally I don't like unusual bass shapes but in this case I think your first one looks great. Not a fan of the second one though :P

Cheers Guys.
The single cut basses are an aquired taste. I have to say at first I didn't think much of them but now I really like them. The Harlot bass just seemed to design it's self. I usually go through loads of templates and drawings before I am happy with it. This bass took only 2 revisions.

Is it for sale if so what sort of price is it?

Hi
That one is long gone I am afraid.I still have the wood faced 3 pickup one which I could put out at a very good price if you were interested.I also have a completely black version with chrome pickups and hardware.
I would be happy to get a quote together for something along the same lines if you want.

Would you want the same spec as the prototype as I now use different hardware and pickups.
I will PM the price of the black version to you.

mjshailes
November 2nd, 2006, 01:56 PM
The same but with the new hardware and pups. Also would it be possible for you to do the neck supper thin and just sand it real smooth and not finish it so I can do that like I have on my other guitars? Also would the neck pup be abble to go closer to the neck? And how about a slightly different headstock shape?

Please bear in mind I am only asking as a quote. If it was fair id get you to like keep the specs or I would and get back to you when I wanted a new guitar and have you build it for me:D
