Sincy I have a lot of money left over after my summer job, I am thinking of making a custom guitar. I want to have a guitar with just bare wood, pure tone, no paint or finish to it. I dont want a dark wood, I would prefer a lighter colored wood. I was thinking of these:

Both and alder and ash look beautiful.

Is it a good idea to leave a guitar body unfinished?

no it is not a good idea to leave the body unfinished.

I think Ill just give it a laquer clear coat, possible right?

yes, clear lacquer coat is possible. but an oil finish feels like natural wood in your hand.
