Hey guys, I live in spain and I'd eventually want to build my own guitar. My only problem is that I have no idea where to get all the bits and bobs, and general miscellaneous parts for the guitar from. Stuff like the electrics, pickups, straplocks, pickup covers, control plates, switches, paint, etc.
So sorry if this is a repost, but where do you fellow euopean guitar builders get all these random guitar parts? thanks! ;)

Hi...I have heard that these guys (http://madinter.com/b2c/index.php?idioma=2) are pretty good.. :)
Stewmac (http://www.stewmac.com/) are really the chaps to deal with, although from the US...I don't have a credit card, so I don't really buy from them often. Their customer service is absolutely excellent.
Don't be put off by the name :rolleye: ... (http://www.axesrus.com/axecart.htm)
WD music (http://www.wdmusic.com/electric_guitar_kits.htm)
These guys (http://www.craft-supplies.co.uk/index.html) sell electric guitar parts, I've dealt with them a lot and find them really fast...you would have to phone for a catalogue, for the website doesn't have an exhaustive list of stuff they stock..

Thanks mish (can I call you that? lol.)
I didnt't know stewmac shipped international! Great news, it seems I'm not as cut off from the world of guitar parts as I initially thought. :)

Yup, they do, except Mahogany (protected species). Apparently they are going to find a suitable replacement so that they can start supplying again...everything else is okay...

Stewmac are great, Guitarfetish.com do EXCELLENT pickups for unbelievably low prices. Don't write off the US or far East for parts. Light stuff isn't dear to past and the Euro is REALLY strong against the dollar at the moment.....
