StoneDragon, I want to thank you for taking the time to set this site up.

I just finished lesson one of the beginners section. I have been playing on and off for years, but was never dedicated enough to practice or learn correctly due to illness.

I have just recently started to feel much better due to a recovery program and wanted to take lessons, but I still have so little energy to get up and leave the house to hit the local music store. I'm a Hypoglycemic (opposite of Diabetes) I have been working on overcoming this, but still suffer some of the symptoms such as exhaustion. Coming online really helps me to get my lessons in.

Thank you,
Metallic Blue

Hi Metallic Blue,

Wow what a great compliment!! thank you. I never thought about what a service this site could be for those who aren't in a position to take lessons. That makes me feel pretty good

Hey M,

The internet has been my teacher since i started playing 3 years ago. At that time I had a guitar and a lot of time on my hands, but no money to take lessons or even a way to get to them. (I was 15 at the time.) The resources of the internet are tremendous. When I started out I simple found tabs for Nirvana songs but I quickly realized how many other teaching aids the net has to offer. When I got tired of learning simple rock tunes I discovered sites that help train your ear and many, many sites devoted to music theory.

What I'm trying to say is, just because you can't take lessons doesn't mean you can't learn to play guitar. (Although, practice is still necessary. LOTS of practice.)
