the story goes that a young gent was playing a tune on his lute for a fair maiden when the devil showed up. a battle ensued and the devils tooth was chipped. that chip was formed into a pick. the pick of destiny. every rock god that was a rock god carried this pick. they were told the story of how a kid named eddie(van halen) was in the audience at a concert and the guitarist tossed the pick out into the audience and eddie cought it. angus young and pete townshend were also shown in pictures to be usin the pick of destiny
